Boys and Girls
1) The Boys by Garth Ennis
We are a mere three issues unto this, but I suggest you jump on while you can cuz this is a heck of a ride. I like it because of the characterization and the POV (Point Of View) character is acyually someone you can relate to that has something very tragic happen in the first issue. You feel bad for this guy and can really begin to identify with the anti-super hero agenda that is always a threat in every super-hero heavy comic universe but not always an understandable situation, I mean, why would we not like the super-beings? Aren't they the ones that save the planet from poorly dressed techno-cosmic entities with a Planet Sized Big-Mac attack? Garth Ennis gives us the side that we don't see that has to be happening on occasion when the X-Men or JLA show up in a heavily populated area to throw down with evil robots or alien invaders or even the occasional alien-robot invader. What's more, he makes you dislike the Supers.
Why do I wish I could stop reading it?
